Tele w/ Tremolo Bridge

For my next partscaster, I am considering building a tele with a trem. I have seen the new Glendale setup which is a great idea, but I really like the trem setup on the PRS guitars. I did a little research on them & it appears that Mann Made makes them & offers them for about what the Glendale goes for. I plan to have Guitar Mill build me a body w\paint. I guess I will go the Tom Anderson route & mount the bridge pickup to the body with no bridge plate. Anyone know of any caveats I might run into? Any pics to offer of teles with a trem?

We'll have to scare-up TeleSavant. He has some wild Teles with trem units - even one with a Jazzmaster trem that, believe it or not, is too cool! Savant....check in on this thread, eh?

I'd post pics of my Kramer Tele or my Heavy Metal Tele, but both are in pieces, both have Floyds, and both have humbuckers in the bridge.

I do have an interesting piece supposedly from Kramer. It's a chromed steel piece that holds a Tele pickup and mounts in front of the bridge with screws. I've never used it on anything, though.

As far as mounting the bridge pickup to the body ala Tom Anderson/GE Smith, with a trem rout underneath the pickup, you don't want to bust through and bind up the trem springs with a pickup screw.

Good point! I will keep that in mind if I go that route. Thanks
