Non-Tele Owners Question
How many of you here don't own a Tele but like to hang here for the wealth of information in general?

That is how it started for me. When I first started hanging out here I didn't have a Tele. A few months later I got a 50's Classic. I've made quite a few more trips into the bank account for Teles since then. You won't be able to resist for long hanging around with these folks.

I've been posting for about 4 years and have had several Teles in that time period (Nashville, MIM Standard, Squier) but don't have the jing for a Tele currently. Someday I'll get back to Teleland when financed see fit. :)

I've had a Paul for a while
Love the guitar - it's an Epi Elite black beauty (not the new high zuit ones) semi solid f holes. I wanted a little Lucille kind of vibe. After noodling around on it, I wanted
1: Something to occupy my hands when I wasn't playing. 2: A guitar that was more "out there". My tastes were starting to swing more towards rootsy bluesy stuff - Chris Isakk, Petty, Stones, Faces, SRV, etc. 3: Something that was somehat custom. So I did a lot of research, e-bayed a CAR body, bought a neck and a bunch of bling hardware from Warmoth and wooped out the screwdriver. I'm hoping to get it back from Karl the Luthier (fret level, nut, etc) before x-mas..... I think of my paul as a dark brunette in a velvet backless dress, back corner of a smokey lounge, dimly lit by the candle on the table, her leg pressed against mine....whispering in my ear.... I'm thinking the tele be a bleach blonde in a red mini skirt with big gold ear rings at a roadside EATS kind of place... neon signs catch her red red lips, her hand on my thigh, yelling above the jukebox. Both nice (and nice to me) ladies... Just different flavors. |

Alms for the poor, alms for the poor. Actually, I'm really greatfull to have my Ibanez AFS75T hollowbody, it's the only guitar I own and serves me well.
