Oh decisions Decisions
Help me guys!
Now i have very little time to decide this. But i've finally deicided that i have lived without a telecaster for far too long, though not being the richest of fellows have limited my budget to bascially as low as possible. So I now have 2 options, get a brand spanking new Highway 1 tele (I do like them I do) or I have also found a private seller selling on a 84 made in japan tele (with some slight wear and tear, a few dings and very slight fret wear mainly). Id save $200 going with the 84 tele and would love it because it reminds me of Jeff Buckleys 83 tele, however as its my first tele Id quiet like it to be pristine. So which do I chose!? Thanks |

Welcome!
With my heart, I'd vote the MIJ, but I just have to ask, have you played both? If so, does one stand out? Buy that one. If not, well, you need to. You just never know which one is right for you until you do.

+1 on the MIJ telecaster as well.
Just got mine and the quality is awesome. Comparable to some of the American made ones out there. As someone mentioned, the money saved can be used to get a set of new pickups (Lollars, Fralins, Duncans etc.) |
