Shielding cavities before finishing?

would it work to paint the cavities of a raw wood body with shielding paint before the guitar is painted? So that the shielding paint is under the final color. Would it's shielding effect be effective?

yes.. only if you mask a small section to receive the grounding screw that will allow you to make electrical contact with the ground point of the circuit.

The screw will have to make solid electrical contact with the shielding paint.

so, after the shielding paint goes on, a screw goes in, and the finish work is done on top of the screw? Is this right? Then after the finish is completed a wire attaches to the screw?

I need to read about this in more detail. Are there instructions online anywhere?

Before you finish, attach the screw with the wire captured and run the wire to the control cavity where your ground point will be.

Or, you could apply the shielding paint after finishing. Or, you could apply shielding and mash off the cavity before finishing, and attach the ground when finishing is complete.
