The "Surf Rat" Pinecaster

I'm in love with vintage paints, and Telecasters.

I already own a Daphne/tortoise/rosewood guitar, A white/tortoise/rosewood partscaster is in the making, and so now it's time for a surf green/white/maple Tele!

This one will be a pinecaster, as the pine was cheap from my local lumberyard.

I didn't get progress pics of the joining or tracing, but I've cut the rough shape (about 4 or so mm bigger than the final shape I need)

I'm using the maple neck you can see on the right:

I've got SOME of the parts, control plate:

And it's a pretty sweet setup, I get to hang around on my days off building a guitar, while my brother builds up HIS love, one of his cars, visible through the window in the background of the picture above.
Sweet Aussie muscle haha:

More progress pics will come later on in the week. I'm buying a new hand router on Wednesday. I'm comfortable with a hand router (I've built a bass without a bench/table router) and it's all I can afford. An 18 year old's budget, you get the idea... haha

XB GT Falcon Coupe

Here's Eric Bana's (The Hulk etc) ... I think he put this one into a tree in a Tasmanian Rally.

He did. It used to be white.
It was one awesome looking car, really.
He's still got the heap, and he's hoping to restore it.
