Squier Affinity Telecaster

Howdoe,
i'm getting myself a squier affinity tele.
i'm planning to rebuild it (other color scratchplate, maybe other pickups)
is the guitar worth the money? (without new pickups)

and is it possible to build a humbbucker at the bridge? (replacement for singlecoil )
tnx

Love mine

I have had the Butterscotch model for about two months. Play it everyday and would not change anything except the switch. Very nice guitar....

Yeah The Blonde Affinity is sweet!

I've had it about two weeks, and its sweeeeet! The pups are pretty darn good: Just needed to adjust the height for volume sake! And plus, the blonde looks like a 52ri wannabe!

Affinity is good bang for the bucks!

I have a butterscoth and it is perfektfor the bucks!
. When Played loud the pup tend to scream. I potted my pups with wax and the screaming is better but not perfect...
Affinity is a good guitar to build on and it already have the hole for humbucker under the bridge!

and a squier tele it'll be

okay i'll buy that tele in torino red and maple neck.
i'll also change the white pickguard into a black one.
it'll look like this, reminds me of an SG. i really like the looks of an SG (although a bit aggressive) and the sound, but the playability...
it should look like this (but this is a fender)

http://www.guitarhangar.com/guitars/...nteleredcb.jpg

now, i only have one worry..
the distortion (i like distortion for solos with a non-sharp sound and light distortion for chords).

is the distortion okay, or is it really as bad as some people say?
