Bridge-> Series-> Neck

Is it possible to wire a 3 way so that position 2 is in series rather than parallel?

Yes. The packaged Texas Specials shows them wired in series. I never even noticed this until someone on here remarked about it, since I just always wired them in parallel from memory! :)

    Thanks

    Thanks Fuzzy and Russ. I have been playing with all the wiring possibilities since reconnecting with my inner Tele.

    I like to change guitars as little as possible on stage. So the neck pup with the tone rolled off is nice for jazzy tones. Swing and Twang on one axe. And I like the oomph of the series combination over parallel. Of course, I could change my mind and put the blend circuit back tomorrow. That's the beauty of Tele's. One of the beauties, anyway.
