Looks great
My bass player had a "real" Telecaster bass in the early 70's, but yours look more like a Tele though But without the upper horn, I'd guess it would be neck heavy? (That's why they put the horn on the original). |

That would make sense then! Mine is slightly neck heavy, and it annoys me. ![]() Sorry for the thread hijack.. Geisha: is that bass YOURS? Or did you just get the pictures, cause I've seen that first picture on the internet before.. like ages ago..? |

That Bass belongs to Ray Arsenault my best friend.
![]() I tried to find a pic with him playing the bass. I got some but where are they when you need em? You can see the bass sitting on the stage in back of him. Certainly one cool Bass and I want one! |

No idea.
Maybe 1st gear, second gear or third gear, depending on how much gear you carry.

The look and the electronics I could go for, but they put the long top horn on basses to combat unbalanced neck-heaviness. I prefer the T-Bass style, with the blackguard climbing up the top horn, like Arlo's sombrero-wearing bassist has, but it certainly is a handsome bass.

Those bass teles actually look pretty normal. ...That came out wrong. lol They look like they should be part of a regular line of bass models.

Perfect! I like it a lot. Makes me want to build one!
I'm in the process of maybe acquiring an old neglected Hondo II JazzBass copy; I think it has a plywood body that's not that good. That would be an excellent starting point to try to make one myself.
