That's truly beautiful, and an original approach!

I wish I could sit down and play the finished article, just to satisfy my curiosity of the affect a 35 piece body has on the sonic characteristics of the guitar (tone, sustain, etc).

Very cool!

I like the amber. Not too yellow for my tastes.

I have a 89 Squier plywood strat that has amazing tone...
I bought it to flip it on Ebay, but it is still around.
Cheapwoods tonal character sometimes defy logic.
If it is OLD WOOD its gonna sound killer....

Wow. I'm also glad you didn't burst it. Those clear coats are really making it look awesome. Like honey. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like!

How much does it weigh so far?

Didn't get a lot more done on it.I have a lot of routing to do on some other stuff so I stopped spraying until I am finished and get the dust sucked up

To give you a better idea of the actual color, here are a couple shots next to an unfinished ash body

I hope the body is more stable than it's builder!
It's like you created the virtual grain yourself.

You should call it: I've decided I don't like it and I'm sending it to Telefan.
Personally I think it looks great in the amber. Good job!

Sweet Marty!

I love the look of the grain! Just gorgeous IMO.
Have you got a complete look in mind for this one?
It would look cool with or without a pickguard.
