My First Telecaster

I've finally joined the ranks, I purchased my first Telecaster. A 2003 52' Telecaster Reissue.

It's the most beautiful thing i've ever seen or heard. I bought it from Marguerite's Music in Moorehead, MN. It's the biggest moment of my life.

It was made in November 21, 2003. It's just perfect. I blame Keith Richards. He made me want one the moment I saw him with a Butterscotch Blonde Tele.

I bought a Seymour Duncan Broadcaster and had it placed in the Bridge position after reading reviews on the board about the wonderful qualities in the tone.

It was a 4 hour drive from my house to Moorehead and with icy roads and an ungodly amount of problems on the way it was all worth it the minute I saw that Tweed Case.

The tone is amazing and I couldn't be happier. The only small problem is deciding to keep the wiring stock or moving up to the modern switching.

The first thing I really noticed was the neck. It wasn't as sticky as I had read. But I noticed that the Butterscotch is a lot richer or a colour than I had expected. It was a very pleasant surprise. So now I get to imagine I'm Jeff Beck on the Yardbirds Rave Up album.

Even though he was using an Esquire. Just one more question. I am wondering if I can get a Cropper sound out of my 52? I mean Steve is the man.

But what is the best amp to play this thing through. I'm already dying to play this thing through something better than my dinky Crate. I wanted to get a Tweed Bassman RI but Marguerites also had a Twin Reverb.

Any help is just fab.
