My new Tele body!
First, I started with an Allparts TMO-FAT Tele neck, unfinished maple with 21 tall frets, 1" thick with no taper, 1 5/8" at the nut.
Now, martyb1 is building me a body from ash, with a humbucker routing in the neck, I am very excited!

Neck is a fine start. Martyb1 is a great guy for your body build, too. Decided on electronics, etc., yet?

Could I make this a toploader?
Weren't some of the best, earliest Telecasters toploaders?
I am seriously thinking of making this a top loader. Any advice would be appreciated. I want a nickle-covered, humbucker size P90 in the neck, and a quarter pounder type in the bridge. I know I want a 3-way switch, with neck only, bridge only, and both together. Any ideas or advice is welcome. This is my first partscaster, and I am getting excited! |
