I hope Redd will tell us about his visit to Sweden when he comes back. He is playing in Gothenburg tonight and I really wish I was there to see him.

What a blast! A splendid time was had by the handful of people
who were lucky enough to attend the gig at the tiny Café KoM yesterday.
The cleaning lady will need a very large extra bag for all the jaws littering
the floor there.

Wannabe guitarists shook their heads in disbelief
as Redd tore through blistering versions of "Bubbles in My Beer",
"Home in San Antone", "Telewacker", "Strangers", "She Loves
Anything That Swings", "Truck Drivin' Man", "Always Late" and others,
including a most unexpected "The Letter" (yes, the Box Tops hit) for the encore.

Redd played a Nocaster, borrowed from steel player Jan Jonsson,
through a solid state – take that, tube talibans! – Fender Steel King.
A terrific sound.

After the concert, Redd was kind enough to sit down and talk
guitar nerdery with us. A sterling guy, but you already knew that.

On a side note: in the audience was Bo Winberg, founding member
of legendary Swedish band the Spotnicks.
He seemed properly impressed, even without his space suit.

Many thanks for a wonderful musical experience, Redd!

Hey Redd!
It was really nice meeting you!
I had a great time!

Btw, I was the "drummer" hanging with Kurt Linhof and Arne from Vintagegitar.no...

Stefan, Alexander, Byrdbrain and . . .

It was nice meeting all of you, sorry if I didn't have much to say at the Guitar show, I was eat up with drooling on vintage gear, I can't believe how much old stuff is over there. W0W!

I had a great time in Sweden, as usual everyone was too gracious and kind. I played in Malmo, Stockholm, and Gothenborg I had a blast playing with my Swedish pals. They all played good, even the drummer hehe

I can't wait to go back only for longer next time.
Thanks to this great place I got to meet some cool people and visit etc.

Thanks,
Redd Volkaert
