Looking For a Leather Carrying Case w/ Full Plush Padded Interior - Help?

I'm just curious, i'm looking for a carrying case/bag for my tele that's leather on the exterior but it has a fully padded plush interior. In fact the interior has a contoured padding that is made to fit exactly the shape of a tele, but i don't know where to find such a case.

does anybody know?

Thanks,
Joel

hehe, thanks. you know it was probably about 5 minutes after i posted this thread that i actually found Levy's site.

I'm pretty sure that the case i saw is one of the ones made by Levy's. I wish their site had more pictures of the different models/colors. I also wish i could see the interiors better. Wonder if there's any better sites of dealers sites that might have better pictures

Thanks anyways for the help
~Cheers~

Glenn Cronkhite

You might try Glenn Cronkhite. Not particularly cheap, but a quality product built to last. Glenn has a model that is a perfect fit for the telecaster--I've used the same one for years and used a USA made reunion blues gig bag before that. You can get in touch with Glenn via:

Good luck with your search.

I bought a double leather gig bag from Probags, it was under $200 and is beautiful, nice thick leather, plush lining, highly recommended.

I bagged (haha) one of the Levys a few years ago, and it fits like a glove. It has a small pocket near the headstock area suitable for strings and such, and a larger pouch affair on the side for strap, cables, tools, and a couple of pedals. It carries great as a backpack, just duck for low door frames.

Its built to last.

I can't recommend Glenn Cronkhite strongly enough. I've owned many leather gig bags, and Glenn builds the best I've ever seen.

He's the original Reunion Blues.

You'll never regret it!

I just checked out their site, they look fantastic. Real pricey though, i wish i could see one before i actually purchase one. I wonder how much better the quality of them could be compared to something like a levy's of the same style. Still, i guess the price isn't that different (might differ by about $100).

Here's the thing. Levy's bags are basically a copy of an original Reunion Blues bag. They're very good, but in my experience both Reunion Blues and Glenn Cronkhite make a better bag.

Reunion Blues cases are now made in China. Reunion Blues was created by Glenn Cronkhite. Glenn's new bags are still made in the San Francisco Bay area by many of the original people that made Reunion Blues famous.

Glenn's cases cost less than the imports.

I've owned both the new Reunion Blues and I own 2 Cronkhite bags. If you're looking at Reunion Blues, do yourself a favor and check out the Crokhite.

Thank you for this informative post. This sounds like exactly what I'm wanting.
