Lite Ash vs. USA Tele ??
Im looking for a blonde Telecaster with a black pickguard and a maple neck but i also want one at a reasonable price with the best twang. Now so far I looked at that Baja tele, the lite ash tele, and the MIA Tele.
The MIA maybe a bit to high for me and i already own a mim std tele and probably not to different from a mim tele. The baja tele looked cool with the s-1 switch but i want a tele to be blonde with a black pickguard and it has the different neck that felt a bit different from my mim tele. I looked at the Lite ash tele; i never held it but im afraid that it may be cheap quality and the the guitar isnt as twangy as a my standard tele. |

It's difficult to decipher your question. The Baja is blonde with a black pickguard - did you like that or not?

O I didnt see the baja blonde i saw a desert sand color with white pickguard, but i saw videos on it and it sounded perfect but I cant remember if i liked the neck compared to my standard tele. The frets seem more bigger than the standard.

I guess it depends what you like, my MIM std neck was my favourite, then when the baja came it was like :O thats amazing. Its slightly thicker, but dont take that as exaggeration, it is very comfortable. If the MIM std you play is maple then you will probably love the baja. Pup options are incredible aswell, definitely got the classic twang with a train of other sounds.

The neck is a bit bigger than your standard; the radius and the fret size is the same. I share your misgivings about the Lite Ash. I encourage you to go back and try the Baja again. Focus on what features to change and which ones to carry over from your existing guitar. ![]() Oh, and never mind about those Callaham enhanced saddles shown on there. They went with another guitar that needed them bad, this one did not.

Since you live in Michigan and don't live too far Lansing go to Eldery's ( if you haven't already) and play some.
They had at least 50 teles last lime I was there and probably more that that can't put on the floor. There used stock changes very often as well. |

About the Lite Ash: I personally liek that one a lot, mainly because of the pickups - but it might not be the best choice if you are looking for maximum twang! Those Seymour Duncan Alnico II pickups in the Lite Ash, are great for slightly warmer rocking or bluesy tones, very nice with overdrive - but for pure twang there are better choices...
