First build finished! Introducing the 'Caster SS Custom.

Well it's done, and to say the least, I'm pleased.

It finished up at 8.6 lbs, exactly the same as my Fender, but it doesn't feel as heavy for some reason. The effort I put into shielding it payed off big time; even with single coil pickups it's the quietest of my guitars by far. I highly recommend it to anyone who is displeased with hum.

Here are some relatively poor, due to low resolution, pictures.

A couple more.

And here are two more shots, again low res.

I think I'll aquire a few more tools then attempt a twelve string. A Rickencaster? A Telebacker? Hmmm.

Does any one know what size Allen wrench is used to adjust the bridge hight on the Bigsby bridge? If the unit came with a wrench I have misplaced it somewhere, and the sizes I have dont work. The 1/16'' is too large and the .050 is to small.

Probably metric, 2.5mm or so...

Excellent work; looks great! How're ya' liking that Rockin' Jag bridge? I have a B5 Fender logo kit, but I was thinking about modifying a mustang bridge to fit to some fixed tunamatic type studs. Think it's worth it... for function or tone?

Can't say for sure, but it's possible. I like the way tunamatics are fitted on their studs.
