If you look at the bottom of the Custom Shop section on the Dave's Guitar website, there are many Masterbuilt Rosewoods by Mark Kentrick and John Cruz.

I thought that one was special due to the grain. To me it was the nicest looking rosewood there.

I think in this case the appearance of the wood just might take center stage over how each individual guitar played.

I can still imagine a bunch of well off guys jockeying over which guy got which guitar, even with the economy soft.

I have a Vintage Modern 1 + 11/6ths Fatback Tele neck in rosewood being done for me, basically 'cause I couldn't stop looking at these guitars. 5-6 percent of the cost.

I keep thinking about getting one of these Masterbuilt Rosewood Tele's but the weight of them puts me off. All my Tele's are 7lbs or under but these are all over 8lbs. I noticed some have skunk stripes and some don't?

I'm pretty sure you could order a chambered one if you want to.

That's probably the only way to get a rosewood one that is lightweight.

I think Harrison's was like 10 lbs. or something like that...

They sure are sweet looking either way!

I think that ALL rosewoods are at least partially chambered...otherwise they'd be even heavier than they are now.

My Custom shop Rosewood and my MIJ Rosewoods are all chambered, but still quite heavy.

I understand that there were various types of Rosewoods made in the late 60s, some had skunk stripe necks and some didn't, hence the variation. The George Harrision tele didn't have a skunk stripe, so the copies of his one are like that.

If Harrison's was an early 68 then I'd guess it wouldn't have had a skunk stripe. The fact it had a spaghetti logo would suggest it was made earlier still.
You can still find Custom Telecasters with a spaghetti logo in 67 but standard Teles all had transition logos by the end of 66.
