I've been holding off from building a Thinline but after looking at yours....

Beautiful execution and the style if brilliant. That pickguard is beautifully shaped.

Good on you!

I really like what you've created there.

Did you buy the body or cut it yourself? Sure is a nice one!

Thanks for the compliments guys, coming from you all that means a lot.

Ron, your templates have worked out great.

PJ, I cut out the body myself using thinline templates that I had ordered from Ron.

Thanks again guys, I couldn't have done it without the inspiration from all of your builds.

That didn't come from the factory? You could've fooled me! Nice work. I really want to try doing that someday. Currently I just don't have the tools, the space, the know how...Anyway, great work!

Super nice! The reflection from the pickguard on the control plate was really messin' with me. Looks broken, but I know its not!

Two thumbs up on the color, great choice for a thinline!

Last edited by riolux : May 7th, 2008 at 02:07 PM. Reason: Noticed it wasn't excactly a '69 thinline

That really looks fine; I have always heavily favored the stock control plate on the thinline design combined with that type of pickguard. I passed one up on the USACG and there's never been another, gotta make your own.

The No-Caster yellow with the ivory pearloid is a superb color choice, really makes one wonder why Fender does not do this color combo.

Nice execution, nice details.
