Used tele find .

I visited my local music store in my home town to visit the new owners Wed. On the wall hanging was a 1994 MIM tele, sunburst with upgraded Duncan 1/4 pound pickups. It belonged to the new owner (John), and he did not like the sound. It had a $225. tag on it. I did not haggle, and picked it up yesterday. I like it! I used to take lessons from him, and hope to start up again. Its nice to find decent used gear locally. After minor setup work & cleaning I played her for about an hour last night. I hope to learn how to put pictures on TDPRI, and show my gear.

Those early Mex Strats & Teles are nice finds - but tough ones to find.
They shipped with crappy tuners and pickups, but the body & neck work ae very good. I found one at a guitar show that I've kicked-up a bit and it's terrific.

I agree that the mim's are an incredible deal, I paid $300.00 for this agave blue one with Rio Grande pickups....someone (previous owner) sanded the decal off of the headstock so I had to rechristen him...Merlin.
