Thoughts on the Elite Tele
Here's one:
They all claim these Elites (strat's and tele's) to be "rare" thereby demanding rediculous prices on them. The fact that they were made for only a year between '83 and '84 surely makes them "rare" but the fact that many people don't like them doesn't necessarily warrant the price tag. Thoughts?

while i think the elite series has merits ( i have a strat which is a very nice sounding boat anchor) i think that price for that insturment, in that condition, is 'optimistic'-and what everyone should know is that parts are very difficult if not impossible to obtain- i have no idea why the seller is highlighting the ivory binding aspect as that was par for the tele elite

I've wanted one of these for a long time...
And it's kinda weird, because they are generally pretty heavy, and the radius is way too flat to suit me, and they are pretty pricey, and it's tough to find things like bridge parts if you need 'em- but I want one anyway...
One of these days everything will fall into place and I'll find one in decent shape at a price I can live with. -Michael Charter Member S. Texas He-Man Emoticon Haters Local #316
