Anybody put a swimming pool route in their tele
I've got a tele with a Warmoth ash body that I'd like to configure so I could try out a variety of pups and combinations of pups so I'm thinking a pool route. Anybody done it to a tele and did it change the tone or any other aspect of the guitar other than making it lighter? Any advice on how to do it or how not to do it?

I have an ash USACG tele body that came with a universal rout. I don't notice any substantial audible difference between it and vintage routed bodies. The only thing different sounding is when your fingers tap on the pickguard, you get a hollow sound, rather than a solid sound. It is fun being able to try lots of different size pickups in the neck & middle, but after lots of trys, I am back to standard size tele pups.
