Wow G.G.- nice work. I thought the great leap forward was acquiring a soldering gun. You guys crack me up. I have fantasies about a drill press. I could probably be arrested for the way I dream of a router table. Fortunately, I am helpless, and those responsible are the Borg!

I used Levis Prefiller. I bought it at Kroonpart in Rotterdam Delfshaven, but i'm shure it's available at most specialized paintshops.

I stained the prefiller with a dark stain to bring out the grain in see-through finishes.

I'll show you some picks:

No filler:



Stained filler, whiped of and than lightly stained nitro:



Just buy a few airbrush colours and try it on some scrapwood. You can do a lot of nice thing with the right stains like this neck:

Had some outputproblems, so I build a SHO and mounted in inside the guitar, between the humbucker and the 5way switch:

what pickups did you go with? looks like one of gfs's zebra humbuckers, but what about the bridge? and can you tell us a little about the SHO? is it a booster?

Neckpickup is Crunchy rail:
