The MIJ JV Series are supposedly excellent guitars. Sneakyjapan could probably tell us if that price is in line.

I was on the JV site and that price looks about $500-700 high. But I was shocked to see the sale prices. They have like a JV "store" over there with a registry and everything to keep track of the market.

I was going to guess $1300 as a high, $1000-1100.00 more like something you might have to pay ON THIS PLANET... ;)

Well, he hasn't had anyone bid on it yet at that price, FWIW. If no one bites this time, you might see it relisted for a few hundred less.

It's hard for me to think of something from the mid-80's as commanding that kind of price. I guess, psychologically, it's not "vintage" unless it's older than I am!

It's only high if they don't get it. Half of the vintage guitar boom comes from people asking for more. The other half comes from the fact that they usually seem to get it.
