Which tele did I get? Help if you can

The decal on the pickguard said "american telecaster." The store said it was "last year's model." Of course, the Fender website has all kinds of info about the current model specs. But, how do I get the specs for mine?
Serial number: Z5042474, which the Fender site puts at 2005.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

Welcome. Just a stab...but I'm gonna say American Stanard. Pics would certainly help, though.

The Fender Frontline catalog used to have a specification chart. I have the 2005 catalog but it appears they stopped including the chart that year. Doesn't seem to be in the 2006 issue either. Looks like 2004 was the last year for it.

I almost forgot - the guitar has a little button on the back of the headstock: "60ith anniversary" -- that must mean 2005, right?

No .............2006. When did you buy it. If you bought it in 2007, it was last year's model at the time.

I bought it last night. Either way, it's a 2006, good to know.

With regard to the button on the back of the headstock. 2006 was the 60th Anniversary of the founding of Fender in 1946. The button was put on almost all Fenders that year. In a few years people will see a Fender with the button and think it's the 60th Anniversary Model............. just like some did with guitars that had the 50th Anniversary sticker.
