WD Necks Nitro or Poly?

Whilst chatting to Kevin about my body(GUITAR )we got on to necks and were wondering if the higher priced WD Necks were Nitro or Poly...

I have a TMV one piece soft V vintage neck.

When I spoke to the chap from whom i ordered it,i said i wanted Nitro and he said it was,but from comments made here i have not been sure...

They dont say on the website.

The finish is indeed nice and thin either way and it feels great, only complaint is the orangey finish.

Anybody in the know?

Most likely its poly. Lacquer takes too much time to do it right and WD, Warmoth places like that just dont have the time to do the nitro and still sell for as low as they do.

Thankyou

So does Poly dry faster?
----------------------------
I have seen Poly necks(not bodies)get some severe playing/wear marks.

Somebody posted a Kubiak 80's Tele recently, with the Neck finished in poly that had some serious wear marks on it,but is this uncommon?

I ask cause I have a body finished in nitro and think it would look odd with a reliced body and not the neck The finish like I said is very thin.
Excuse my ignorance....

Well, it seems to me that Lew had a valid question and concern re: whether the neck would age like the body.

It was never a question of what was "better" but simply a question of what it was sprayed with.

My own assumption is that the neck is finished with poly, but, I can't be sure of that if WD told him it is nitro.

    They're finished in poly.

I emailed Larry at WD and asked.
