Daphne Blue Deluxe Project

Well thanks to the advice for everyone who gave it regarding my bad buffing skills. I'm back on track I think. I was trying to show the finish but it was late and I had to settle for an indoor shot. It's turned out well so far. Not sure what HBs to put in it. I was thinking maybe something jangly. Definitely a maple neck I think. Not sure if a strat style headstock or tele though.

That's looking good. Let's have a closer look. I vote for Tele neck. Is that pickguard sized for normal sized humbuckers?

yup, sized for normal HB, I figured it open me up for more options. Also this was originally a standard tele body I rerouted to accommodate it's new life as a deluxe. That was really a fun experience. I'll post a pic without the guard if anyone is interested.

Very pretty, what about a p94 neck and bucker in bridge ala bfg Paul. Maple or rosewood fingerboard?

Here's a Hohner copy that I refinished. When I got it it had a couple of unmatched pickups without covers. These are from Guitar Fetish. I like the black pickguard. However I really like the looks of your white guard. Looking forward to seeing yours completed.

Yeah ....let's see yours without the guard.

Jack, That picture you got there is what inspired me initially to do a different color deluxe, I have always had a thing for daphne so I changed it up a bit. I llike yours with the blackguard. Looks kinda like pistachio. I really wanted to add some HBs with cream-like soapbar covers but I can't seem to find anything llike that around anywhere unless I want a true soapbar. I think I have to go with a maple fretboard with this thing.

I'll post pics of the body without guard after I get home tonight from work. I have to take it off anyhow to polish it up in some areas.
