"Your husband should have checked the necks when he got them and when he found out they were bad sent them to the dealer and he would of had no issues."

Excuse me, but didn't the problem begin when their dealer wouldn't accept their faulty necks for return?

P.S. I bought one of their necks from the same dealer. It is presently still in the box it came in. It may prove stable; it may not. Regardless; You can flat believe I'll not be purchasing anything with Mighty Mite on it... ever... again.
Ultimately, it's the character of your people and your service that makes loyal customers. It would do well to keep that in mind when you are representing a business.

Marty, they're liable to rename Mighty Mite on account of this disaster.

May I suggest truth in advertising:

"Snakebit"

This is a joke Marty......, and I don't mean it in a funny way!

Have you pointed out to them, the fact that you're detailing this debacle on a forum with hundreds, if not thousands of potential customers?

Maybe you're not that kind of guy? But maybe they're unaware that there are alot of people watching their performance through this thread.
If someone new joins the forum and their first question is "What are Mighty Mite necks like", I know which thread I'll be linking in my response!

I think they know...

look at this previous post

I have used USACG, Warmoth, and Allparts necks...fortunately I have not had to go through anything like this.

I don't see Mighty Might cracking that list any time soon.

Mighty Might has clearly missed a great opportunity.

At they very least, somebody at Mighty Might should get away from the computer, pick up a phone, call Marty, and utter those most famous words, "Marty, what can we do to make this go away?"

But as Buddy Holly said, "That'll be the day."

If you know what I mean.

And how much you want to bet, after having to pay $30 to ship them back,I get hit with duty and customs charges on them if/when they get here. It's going to make them pretty expensive cheap necks

OTOH, I hope I'm wrong and mini-mite comes thru with something they ordered out of house to get it done right.
Call 'em up Marty.

Uh uh, no way that can be possible. Can the rules really be that badly written that you'd have to pay duty only to find these are also junk? Who writes this kind of stuff, traffic engineers?

Boris,

Canada also has thought Police......yes...you better not think bad thoughts about religions and races.....They are very messed up trying so hard to be Politically Correct and failing miserably.
I love Canadians but their government can be less than perfect...like ours.
They have the same VAT as does the UK....based on the stated value and not the actual value of the "junk" received. SAD!

I'll build my own necks from scratch (I don't know how and certainly don't have the tools) before I'd buy anything from MM. I've seen all the eBay ads from Metalshop Music but the product is MM and I cannot go there in good conscience.
There are too many other vendors that supply and SERVICE their customers for me to take a chance like that. Seems like Las Vegas odds and those are in favor of the house....I prefer to buy a product at a fair price and not to buy a chance of a product being usable....What a crock!...LOSER ODDS AT BEST..
I don't have the time or the energy to deal with issues like this.

You have my deepest sympathy and support there Martyb1.
Please let us know what happens next and keep the faith Brother.

Dang Marty,

I'm so sorry for all your trouble with this. I'm working on my first Tele build and you can surely bet it won't have an MM neck attached. It probably owuldn't have had anyway, but this would definitely elimanate them from any conversation regarding necks from here on out.

So sorry about the problems you've had.

I used a Mighty Mite neck on my first build with no problems, but I certainly won't be using them for my current or future projects. I don't need the kind of headaches your having. No one needs headaches like that.

Hello Marty,

Happy belayed birthday. I’ll talk to Jeff to see what progress has been made. I have received complaints from a few members on your posts so your post has been archived. I hope Jeff will resolve your issue soon.

%$#@&^*%$^@!;(*&$%@$#!^%$*&@#! and other multiple expletive deletives disallowed on this forum. I think that might cover it.

Since you're gonna have more in these 2 necks than 2 dozen of them would be worth, I'd probably be taking off the kid gloves about now.......
Even with the subterfuge and circumlocution from jeff and that
other guy,.........there is no real, plausible excuse for a manufacturer to behave in this manner.....NONE!

Hmm, not surprising really.
It takes a big man to admit mistakes, even bigger to fess up to them in public.
Looks like Jeff and John would rather brush it under the rug, than to provide a balanced forum where customer service issues are handled quickly and professionally.

You're in deep trouble, Marty. You keep doing this, you keep communicating in clear and genteel terms, persistent but fair.

That's not allowed, you're supposed to get mad, and yet somehow you treat 'em decent. If you don't get mad, how are they supposed to "hang up" on you?

You've given them no choice but to do their job right, and that's the one thing they can't do.

This "communication" by John: What in the world is this supposed to mean? I have no idea what this guy is talking about. Is being archived good or bad? Is this an implied threat or a promise to do right?

Archived his post because of complaints from members....?

WTF?.....So they may as well have deleted your complaint.....GRRRRR

Who does he think we are?
That is a total lack of finesse in handling this issue...My position as a Systems Analyst requires that I deal directly with the end users and the reason I keep my job is because I take care of the end users. They pay my salary and you are only as good as your worst moment in customer service.
The guy can't even spell (belated).......spell checker anyone?

This has gone from Keystone Cops comical to stupid and now downright dirty.

Just say NO to MM....

Put in a complaint to the BBB in the city where MM is located.
It is a weak move but will cause them some lost time out of their day

Also, they are licensed by Fender...complain to Fender and share those beautiful photos and see what happens. If a Fender Rep calls MM, you might get some action.

Spunky, your comments about authority in Canada made me chuckle.

Yes, I was a hyperactive kid, and on long road trips (actually, any road trips) my Dad took the time and pains to stop where the other sibs and I could "blow off some steam" on a jungle gym or some such thing.

In the states we'd do our very best to break our necks, then return to the car all exhausted, content to nap for a few hours while Dad drove on.

But this went wrong in built up areas of Canada, because some matron would always appear out of no-where to say the grounds were closed or that we were being too reckless. Ran us off. I mean, not everytime but enough times to make me remember this. I remember my Dad booking a hotel suite because it overlooked a giant park/playground. It remained locked the whole time we were there.

One time in St. Catherine's we got into some hornets and got all stung up, especially my cousins. I thought, "now we're having some fun!".

Boris,

Very true....How did we ever survive childhood?
trampolines, minibikes, dirtbikes, running amok, jungle gyms....snakes...bees

Now it seems everything and everyone is so well regulated.
It seems everything is zero tolerance that we used to do for fun.
How's a rambunctious boy to blow off some steam?
In a dance contest like in footloose or Zoolander....Yikes....NOT!

I used to run as fast as I could along the shore here.....Its all big rock and some of them (lots) move...it's a real trick to not fall and if you do, broken bones or major missing skin is the result. You gotta be focused and have no fear and be very very confident in your ability.
Even at my age I inline speed skate to blow off steam and have broken my back, lost most of the skin off my knees and rear end and shattered my fret wrist but I still go.....FAST.....I just wear wrist and knee guards now as it's hard to play guitar with pins sticking out of your wrist or in a cast for over a year. I have pictures.......

Well still nothing,at the post office or the MIL
I did however send "John" a reply to his email this morning

Quote:
John

I want to thank you for your help in this matter, however,it is pretty sad when you can't share your opinion and experiences with others, even if it is negative.I just hope others don't experience the "Customer Service" I have. The boys at TDPRI are going to have a field day with this. This matter is getting totally ridiculous and I can honestly say I will never buy another Mighty Mite product

I am pretty sure there are many others that feel the same way

Marty
I know this guy is trying to help, and even though I don't agree with him "archiving" my thread and posts on their forum,at least he is trying and is communicating
Now after checking again for the package,I get home and find this

Quote:
Hey Marty,

I will do my best to help to see to it your situation is heard. I called and Jeff is out sick but I will try back tomorrow and if I get no results by tomorrow from him I will speak to the owners as they are reasonable and good people. I am truly sorry that you have gone through such an ordeal without getting the proper help that you are entitled to. No matter what you have not been forgotten. Don’t give up. I haven’t.

I speak in behalf of my opinion and not as a representative for anyone but my opinion which is that the party that is responsible for your problem is the party that you bought the products from. You are an end user and MightyMite does not sell to end users therefore any help from MightyMite is beyond their obligation.

Best Regards,
