Rice Custom #83 T-Style B-bender...wow!!
Hi there,
just want to share my new toy.. came in 2 weeks ago but I was too busy to post.. It's a one piece Korina with Bill Bores P/W B-Bender, neck is maple with Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. Medium-thick C shape. 9.5" radius, 21 6230 frets. Nitro finish, clay dots, it has Glendale doublecut steel bridgeplate with hardened steel saddles. The finish is Antique Whitewash nitrocellulose finish. Pickups are Lollar Vintage T set with 7-way switching. Lots of tone, and very wide range of use.. It takes over by far my Tele Nashville, upgraded with Callaham bridge and Fralin's... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hmmm............. I wonder if the builder would be willing to share how he achieved that color.

Thank you guys...
For those who wants to know how it sounds: it sounds as it looks.. AMAZING!!! About the switch and the toogle: it's a seven way wiring, the 4 way switch gives you the 3 standards, plus the 4th full sound (both pickups in series, I like it a lot), with the toogle up I get the pseudo-strat sound, the neck pickup with a bass reduction (more twang, clearer tone), and a bright thin funky setting (kind of chicken pickin' thing). With a little patience I'll post on youtube different stuff!! last but not least (I've no interest in the Rice Custom company) it had a human price, and paying in Euro (I'm italian) I can say it was a very good deal, way less than a CS + bender. Ciao! |

Here's the first half of a video I made before shipping the guitar.

Sorry, no link. The wiring's in my head and morphs a bit each time I do it.

I never fully understood how a bender worked until watching these vids. Pretty cool stuff.

I especially like the deletion of the 6th ferrule through the back of the body.
What a nice detail. Nice Rice. Reminds me of those details on that Creston 5squire that 0.F. usta get flustered over.
