Johnny b good intro- bender?
got my first electric (SX tele) a month ago and I'm trying to learn this on since I've wanted to ever since I was a kid. I've got the hang of most of it, but the bending on the 3rd string at the 8th fret is tough, and when I see a video chuck is lifting his guitar up for every bend. Is this just him being flashy or is he using a mechanical bend for this? Thanks!

He;s just being flashy, or just as likely using a little body english to help bend the heavy strings that they had back then.
Just keep practicing and you'll get it going. What gauge strings are you using? If you're just starting out on guitar in general and are using .010s that bend can be a little tough at first. |
