Anyone have this DVD?
Arlen Roth: Playing in a 3 Piece Band
I love this little clip! Killer blackguard tone IMO. Anyone have this DVD, how is it? I see it on eBay for $20.00. That rhythm section is not too shabby, seeing/hearing them play with Arlen is probably worth the price alone. One thing I noticed, you can't really hear it during the song, but right at the end, on the closing note, you can hear a delay that repeats a few times. Any idea what kind of delay he used.. I see a large green pedal with 3 knobs near the amp, which looks to be a Peavey Classic tweed 410. I can never seem to dial in my Boss DD3 to get that type of delay, maybe a digital box just won't do it? Last edited by GuitarJonz; April 18th, 2008 at 07:28 PM. |

Nice clip....I will seek that one out.
Speaking of must own dvds....Roy Buchanan Live from Texas has just been officially released and should soon be on store shelves. This is of course Roy's infamous appearance on Austin City Limits from Nov. 1976 that most of us already own (bootlegged). It's nice to finally see it in clear crisp colours and the sound has been restored. Five songs including Messiah, Sweet Dreams, Hey Joe. Mine arrived in the mail today so needless to say I will be preoccupied most of the weekend. |
