I think my Tele is complete
I have owned my MIM tele for a couple of years now.. I have slowly changed things around...
Added a Wilkinson bridge, SS saddles, I put in a set of '52 RI pups. I also changed out the pick guard to a 3 ply black one... I also shielded it all up... Today I finally changed out the nut to a graph tech ... It was a nut I had laying around that was to be used on my squire '51. Of all of the upgrades I must say this is the one that has made the most satisfying sound upgrade... It seems to have brought it all together for me... I think I can say I finally got the Tele I wanted... and I learned quite a bit along the way... I may have one final decision to make... Keep the Stainless saddles or try out the brass saddles.... Hmmmm maybe I should have said "almost" complete Here it is... |

If I may suggest, try 2 brass with an Aluminum E/A and all steel.
I have one Tele I like the all steel, and one I like the other way. And I have tried then each both ways. ;) The stell works better on mine on the denser walnut/ash body, and the other setup with the E/A on the honky popie wood FWIW. I tried the Aluminum E/A with the steel, and thet was a n go on both in my case, also FWIW. |
