Got my first Tele.....

and I love it. It was unintended and a surprise. I built an amp for a guy, using his parts, and he said he would pay me for my time. Got it finished and he loved it. Ask me if I wanted a old Tele. Sure says I, turns out to be a 86 Japanese Squire. Got it last weekend and have been playing the fire out of it......for me that is.

It's got a SD in the bridge position, not what I expected from a tele bridge PU. Nice and thick and very clear sounding through my 5E3. I wish I new which one it is. I would like to find a good neck PU to go with it. The one in the neck sounds kind of muddy.

This does go on your permanent record you know and is held in your file until you right this wrong!!

WELCOME! To the TDPRI! hide your wallet from your self. Just curious: is it the band Blind Lemon (Shannon Hoon, is that right?) or Texas Blues Legend, Blind Lemon Jefferson that you reference in your username?

Now..... ummmm, pix?

Pics........

Sorry it took so long.......I was ...a...hiding out ....yea,thats it....I was on the run ..from the law....thats it, thats the ticket.

As you can see the guitar started life black, the previous relieved the back and top of the lower bout. ala-Strat. Said he just got tied of sanding so he left it black and natural. I think it looks kind of cool.

Blind Lemon? I'm a Blues fan.

I KNEW I was becoming lisdexic, ajgus.
That is a nice look with the contrast colors, Blind Lemon. It's great to have another blues lover in the house.
