I finished my reverse headstock Tele project!
Love it or hate it....here it is. My FIRST project guitar.. Allparts quilted top body, Warmoth reverse head stock flamed maple vintage style neck, Allparts tele bridge with brass compensated saddles, Pickups out of Jason Bolands custom shop Fender Telecaster, Sperzel tuners, Fender waterslide decal...i know, some of yall are against it, but im not trying to fool anyone, just wanted it. Fender "F" neck plate. if anyone cares to see them, i will post some better pics.

Thank you both for the nice comments!. the reverse headstock is just for looks. basically a left hand neck on a righthand guitar,

I like the odd look of a reverse headstock. It sorta defies convention. The "reverse" thing on a tele, is a left handed neck on a right handed guitar, so in your case bro, isn't the decal upside down? LOL

There is that whole Hendrix theory explored in some strats that the reverse headstock gives more snappy bass and creamy highs. Can you confirm if there is any truth to that idea?

Looks great. I've wanted to do that on a Strat for a while now. Some people will gripe about it, but if you dig it...play on!

i put the decal on that way so it would look like it was intended to be that way. its a reverse headstock neck, not a lefty. the marker dots are on the top and the radius is correct. i cant tell any difference in the string pull with it being reversed and i didnt see any reason to use a lefty bridge. it plays awesome! I love the look and feel of it, its exactly what i have wanted for a long while.

I'd like to see photos taken without a flash ...... hate flash pictures. Take some pictures outside in the shade .......... and disable the flash.

It looks cool too!

I listen to Hendrix and came up listening to shredders in the 80s, so Strats with reversed headstocks are cool in my eyes. I wouldn't have thought Tele headstocks would be the same, but that's nice.

I could say that my thought was that putting in a lefty bridge on a righty guitar might make the bass punchier and the treble more mellow, and it might, but I was more into the 'Hey, wait. Is that right?' aspect of looking at it with "lefty" neck and bridge on a righty guitar.

My jam partner is a lefty who just got a lefty Tele, and I couldn't help but pick it up, and the Tele body style is the worst to flip over, so I didn't really expect that from you. I think it would hinder some behind-the-nut bends but make others easier. If you want the old ones, you can pick up another Tele, right?

Again, it's a very sharp guitar. Can hardly wait for you to post the next batch of pics.

and for yalls info Mark Ciginaro finished the neck and set it up for me. Everyone in the metroplex uses him. he is the best luthier in the area

I put together two reverse headstock Esquires myself too. They're still classic, but a little unorthodox - which is great :)

Great execution of your ideas. I've got some nude quilts - no pickguards. As Bud Abbott said, "Let'em breath!!". I had a Dick Dale CS Strat with reverse headstock and really dug everything except my tone from it - really thin. Just can't play Strats to my liking.
