Watch for MF Stupid deal tomorrow (April 12)
If one is to believe the file names on the MF site (and they have been very predictable!), tomorrows Stupid Deal should be an Am. Telecaster (maybe Cola Red??). Get those credit cards humming.............

Maybe black, more certainly maple board. Probably $ 749.99, which does not impress me.

Or, based on the SDotD I-pod, maybe it will be $ 1,749.99.

It is the Stupid Deal, after all.

They unloaded some Fender American Series, or the previous years American Standards, Strats for $749.99 in the past few weeks, I suspect the Teles will be in the same ballpark.

If you go back a day (to today) you'll notice the deal isn't the same. Today's is a mixer, when the image is of another one of those clocks.

Note that those are American Series, for which the production by Fender has been discontinued. To replace it in the lineup, the American Standard name has been resurrected and the design has evolved somewhat. Not saying either one is better, just offerring another factor why this model might be a good candidate for such a sale.

Oh, I hadn't noticed that "minor detail".

Now I can understand the MF sale. Because I am sure that the 07 AM Series is probably getting pretty hard to offload, given the popularity of the new 08 AM Std...

I debated long and hard, but I've wanted a Tele in that color for a while so I did it! I would rather get another 2008, but for $749....

I am a sucker for the Stupid Deal - this is the third Tele I've bought.

All you have to do is change the date on the picture's URL.

Sorry about the black color info. The image looked like black to me.

The advance info is right about 90 percent of the time; the pricing is all guesswork.

If TDPRI wants to cull this thread, no sweat. I keep imagining MF will take umbrage and change the system.
