+ lots of guys & gals that ought to be famous!

Probably some Telecaster pickers that will be famous, too!

Isn't Mandy Marie famous? She's even got fans in Sweden!

I have been told (probably when the light is bad and the person is near blind) that I have a passing similarity to Eric Clapton (I don't see it myself). A couple times guys have approached me and asked me if I was EC - of course the answer was no... A pretty girl asked me once and I used my best fake cockney accent, "Who wants to know, luv?"

I'm really Art Vandalay, not really famous for my guitar prowess, but you should see my latex products...

I would enjoy if Paul posted a list of names (with permission) of famous guests. Then we could read it and forever wonder what forum name they went under and drive ourselves nuts thinking about it. Would be good for a laugh in my book!
There may even be someone like Steven Seagull here flaming Jeff Beck, or Kim Jong il asking for advice on nitro finishes

About 15 or so years ago, some young girls stoped me in the hallway one day and just got all giggly and started telling me how handsome I was, and wanted my autograph and such. I really didn't think they knew who I was so I asked "who do you think I am?"
They replied Michael Keaton. I explained that I was not Michael, but thanks for the compliments.
One of them was really disappointed, so I asked her what movie made her really think I was Michael.

In my mind I was thinking "clean and sober" because my wife mentioned that we had the same look.

The young lady and her friends replied in a very serious manner "beatlejuice"

What makes you think I know who the famous ones are? They don't come in through the VIP entrance or anything.

Brad Paisley has posted a couple of times.
John McInroe has 6 posts (famous Tennis player, TV personality, married to Patty Smythe)
Allen St. John -- well known sports writer -- WSJ, Tennis Mag, Clapton's Guitar book is a regular poster.
A couple of the members of the Derailers.
Ted Greene -- famous Jazz Tele player, now deceased.

I know there are others that I just can't think of at present.

The thing is-these guys and gals come on here to be just one of the crowd, so it doesn't mean nothing if they happen to be successful in a certain genre of music. They are sentient persons who love teles and music. That's why they come on TDPRI.

I was thinking about this today...

I think we should all act famous.... that way... famous people would be able to relate to us forumites better....

I'll do my part by racing my Toyota Camry on the interstate..... drunk off of 700.00 a bottle tequila... with a pound of yeyo in my lap, 3 cross dressing ladies of the night in the back seat, and 14 and a half million dollars in negotiable barabonds in the trunk...

or i'll just strum my tele.... either way we'll have something in common...

I bought Leo's 300344th guitar, at the time CBS Management had reassigned him to an R&D position. (and a few others).

Don't forget our own Zook, great amp builder.
I heard one of his amps @ Harly Carly's house and fell in love.
Although he's a local Green Mtn. Boy, I haven't met him. But he great when I
was thinking about building an amp.
P.S.
Let's not forget our past member, OL' FUZZY!

Wow, Ted Greene used to be on here? I was listening to him last night and studying his album and chord chemistry. He was an amazing person, it always upsets me knowing he's passed on.
