Tele shopping, need tips....

After a long acoustic-only run I'm back in the market for a Tele. I figure some here can give me some good tips on the best way to fill my "order"!

Here's what I'd like to have....

* Ash body, light guitar
* Natural or see-through stain finish
* Maple neck, beefy profile
* Don't wanna spend a fortune
* Lefty

Is my wish list impossible? Used or new doesn't matter to me and the finish isn't as important as "light/big neck/not super expensive" is.

Thanks in advance,

Gary

Welcome, Gary. Maybe check out www.musikraft.com and roll your own.
There's always Southpaw Guitars. You looking for an inch thick neck or less?
I think there is a lefty in my hometown swap shop. I'll go there tomorrow and look. If you are interested after I find out, I'll give you the guy's phone # and y'all can talk. Hard to find Lefties anywhere, much less with a larger neck. Good Luck.......

LOL, good one!

I joined in '03 when this board replaced the original tdpri forum. I was an active member in the old one... and about the time the new format started I got the bluegrass bug and have been heavily involved with other forums... flatpickin.com, Flatpick-List, leftyfrets.net, etc.

A few weeks ago some guy was fire-saleing a '03 Strat and a Peavey Classic 30 amp, both in MINT condition. I sold the Strat and recouped almost all of my money. So now I've got $125 in a like-new Peavey amp... and it's begging me to get a Tele and plug that puppy in!
