Coalburner with paint
You can see Bill Kirchen's "Coalburner" guitar with paint at about 1:32 in this YouTube video of Commander Cody & LPA. Catchy little ditty. Dare say that it didn't get too much airplay back then??

That guitar always sounds great. Must have something to do with the player.
He's already losing lacquer off the fretboard in that clip.
