May I ask, any special tips on installing a CC rider neck pup in this fashion. How precisely is it routed, and mounted? Much obliged,

Nice build and you're lucky it's a thinline because I think if she knows you call her the "Ball & Chain" she may crack your skull with the thing! If it were a solid body it may hurt a bit more!

Thanks, that opens my eyes. I'll do a test mule on a Squier, see if that's something I can approximate with stone age tools.

So is the foam essentailly the same size as the pickup, or do you only need a little piece. Got a pic? Is closed cell foam is the white stuff that has air bubbles? Like the stuff that's used for packing.

no, but when i retire in ten years i will. i'm just now purchasing a CNC and laser cutter trying to take it to the next step. it will be a big difference from 1979 when i started. cutting out bodies with a hacksaw.......
