Tele Pickguard Static: a single coil problem?
is the pickguard static we experience only a problem on telecasters equipped with the standard single coil neck and bridge pickups?
is static eliminated (along with hum) if humbuckers are installed?

No its static electricity happens on Strats too.
This happens more often in the dry air in winter when the heater has dried out the air. Doesnt happen when it warms up and there is more humidity in the air so its not the pickups that cause it its an enviroment issue.

And no!, the static is not eliminated when HBs are installed my Les pauls do it to. The only thing HBs will eliminate besides the 60 cylce hum , is IMO the tone , a tele or strat just doesnt sound like a tele or strat should with HBs |
