tele on TV

recently saw a television commercial for freecreditreport.com

you may have seen this....college age kids singing about why they have lousy credit because of mistakes....then the pitch to go on lione and learn about your credit

anyway....

there was the Fender tele logo for all to see on this one!

( I believe there's several versions of this commercial, all with guys with instruments and they all look like Fender products )

I can't help but wonder

Did Fender pay for this product placement in these commercials ( like companies do with putting their products in movies ) ?

or

Is Fender just the lucky beneficiary of an ad agency's creative directors choice?

Probably the former...I wonder if it's a real band and maybe that's just what the guy plays?

The one with the beater car is funny.

Yea I have seen those commercials. Each one has a Tele in it. Either an electric or an acoustic.

FYI

I heard from Fender that they supply gear for free for commercials , but never pay to put the products in the commercials!

What a huge score for Fender! The ROI is astronomical.

a couple guitars for million of gross impressions ....huge
