Don't know if this guy has been posted before, but I am sure impressed with his playing. Really clean and punchy...........excellent. I only posted the one video where he is playing a telly looking guitar. Check out his other stuff too. (This may all be really old news...hope not)

You have to check out the Bach piece that he does on that Grestch. I don't know how to post links, otherwise I'd do it.

Great player nice light touch excellent tone and chops and taste. I love the steel guitar sounding chords and licks.
Buddy Holgi gets the Bakersfield seal of approval which I dont give out too often! LOL

You play really nicely and defintiely have that Chet influence (which is great in my book). This forum is kind of my first foray into any country styles or chicken pickin so I'm having a ball! Well done!

WHat I like is when its a real good player like Redd Chet or this example its all so smooth and simple looking. Our new Buddy from Germany makes it look so easy.

Tone
My tone on these videos is nothing special. I played directly into my computerspeakers over a POD Line6 with pretty high gain to get the sound more "dirty" (it also kind of compresses the tone), some reverb. I tend to turn back the treble pretty much. The black guitar is a custom tele made in Japan. I think a high percentage of the tone is formed by the player, the way you "dig in" the strings and timing.
