Is my 50's Classic an oddity?

I put it in for a pro set up and the tech. told me the neck pocket is deeper than standard resulting in lower bridge saddles with less break angle. :o He has had some Teles in to get this mod done but has never before come across one that was stock. We checked the shop's stock and none of the Tele's there..15 of them, had the deep neck pocket mine has. I bought mine new so I know this has not been modded. The total guitar weight is 5.5 lbs which also amazed him, all the rest were much heavier. Anyone know why this might be?
B.T.W. Not complaining !! :P :P

John, measure the distance from the back of the neck to the back of the body ( at the neck/body joint ) let me know and I'll compare it with my 50s classic.

Firstly Dan,

What a difference a pro set up makes, it's even more twangy and killer sounding now. So easy to string bend and sustains forever.
I measured the distance from the back of the neck to the back of the body and it is exactly 1 3/16".
How does that compare to yours?

How deep is the neck pocket?

Measure from the top surface of the body to the bottom of the neck pocket. Not the easiest thing to measure with the neck attached but gives a better idea of what is different.
