There have been many posts on this forum about the authenticity of the parts and guitars this ebayer has been selling. Many TDPRI's have shown pretty conclusive proof that this person sells stuff that just isn't what he says it is, or is of dubious pedigree. That aside, it's obviously a lot of money for a bridge. IMHO, just as an example, if I had a 53 Tele that my dad gave me and he had changed the bridge years ago and I wanted to get a period bridge back on it, then $450 is not out of the question for a bridge on a $20,000 vintage guitar. However, if you're looking to put some vintage mojo on a non vintage guitar, then I think it's a complete waste of money.

My thoughts exactly. It looks newer.

If it was really THAT old it would be oxidized.
The number doest look right too thick numbers. But it just looks too new to be that old.

Buy this one instead. Same seller!
Impossible to see the grit paper marks. And of course, leave the bridge outside overnight and the letters would never fill with condensation and rust faster than the rest of the bridge. I'll snipe this one at the last minute! Not that I'd know this stuff without trying! |

The font used for the numbers is all wrong. Too rounded. The font used for the letters is close but still off and also looks etched instead of stamped.

Not sure, but I just jumped out of the bidding on this NOS "69" bridgeplate, because the marking look different than my '70 plate.
Not a bad deal at $138 if it's really NOS, but not worth that if it's a fake.
