My new neck is almost done (Rice content)

Take a look at the latest handiwork of Rich and Chris Rice:

This-

Is going on this next week-

The old neck (only a couple years old) is a beautiful USACG neck. I wanted something chunkier and with a little narrower frets though. So Rich came up with this...1", chunky "C", 7.25-9.5 radius. The back of the neck has sort of a worn in look, I don't remember how he did it but it looks awesome!

There, that's better.

I custom ordered it to Straightface's raw specs, then did my usual recarving, sanding, and finishing work. Chris will carve a bone nut and address the frets once we have the guitar in hand, and do a meticulous setup on the instrument.

I tried messing with the photos to resize them but my limited skill (or lack of) only made them worse. I should have just posted the link like you did. Thanks.

Kurt- In Photobucket the album shows up as thumbnails. When you click on the thumbnail, it enlarges it automatically. There is a menu on the right hand side of the pic, and the bottom link can be pasted directly into your post. If you click on the link that starts with [img], the pic will automatically be saved to your clipboard- then just paste that code directly into your post.

Save a couple of steps and just left click the IMG Code line below the thumbnail.

Great tip, Jack! I always like to look at the bigger pics before I post, to make sure they are the right ones.. but if you know the pics are good, the IMG code works just fine. Doggone thumbnails are too hard for me to see without my glasses on, and I only wear those when I'm building guitars or reading music.

Don't know how to tell you this, but......

It's been made back-to-front.

Back to front is a great way! Actually, I kept finding cool sounding licks that don't work on a righty (multi-string bends while played upside-down).

Here's the finished guitar:
