My '67/'68 Tele with a replacement neck. The original had a maple fingerboard.

its a washburn WI36. its part of the IDOL series. mine is from 2005, its white blonde and i think they only made it in that color in 2005. it came with a 3 ply white/black/white guard, but i made the leather guard for it. i cant seem to find them on the washburn website now to give you a link to them. i bought mine used for 80 bux at my local GC. i will post a link to the specs sheet that washburn emailed me. its an .xls file, so you need to have a viewer for that type of file installed. the stock electronics are crap(mini pots/import switch), but i bought all new cts pots and a oak grigsby 3 way for it, and right now i'm waiting for some keystones to come in for it. the stock bridge pup was ok, but the neck pup was such a lower output compared to the bridge it was useless. the neck is a bit thinner than i prefer, but i got used to it pretty quick. its 22 frets right now, but i may cut off that last fret and chunk of overhanging rosewood so i can change pickguards without pulling the neck. i also plan to convert it to 3 saddles on the stock bridge plate. its a top loader and string through bridge so its got all the options you could want. i will prolly order some barden compensated saddles for that.

blonde

My blonde partscaster. All genuine American Fender parts except the neck (MIM) and the pickups (Bill Lawrence Keystones). If I could keep only one guitar, this would be it. Feels right, looks right, sounds right.

Now that's purdy.

So simple, so clean, so desireable...just the way a Blonde should be!

She's a 2006 or a bit earlier USA G + L ASAT Classic, 2 piece select ash body, blonde premium polyurethane gloss finish. She's got a thin satin poly neck finish, 7.25 radius, 1.63 neck width, big section, jumbo silver nickel frets. Stock magnetic field design single coil pickups; typical 3 way switching. The one piece neck is bi-cut, meaning the neck blank is cut at right angles to the fretboard surface, the truss rod is inserted, and the pieces are bonded back together. Feels and sounds quite different from their current slab-board construction. Feels and sounds even more different that a Fender because the heel and neck pocket are wider, very comfortable to play up top.

I don't care for the weight of the Sperzel tuners, nor for the complexity and potential for added noise coming from the 6 brass barrels bridge plate. But that's who she is, so they stay on there.

I guess this qualifies. This is a middle step toward a final project that I have in mind. Is it blonde? close enough, yeah I normally go for standard hardware, but I deviated on this account.

Nice csapo....again!
Is it a Relic or NOS?
I noticed in that finish it's not always easy to tell from photo's.

Another Dave's?
I keep looking at those but am waiting for just the right one to pounce on.

My new tele. Supposedly antique white color, but I guess it's a blonde--RIGHT?

Waddiamean does it count? This is the guitar I have in my mind's eye when someone says "blonde". If Nigel had a brain he'd say "none more blonde".

You best believe it counts.

It's a Peavey but blonde is blonde right?

This is one of a pair of blonde/aspen wood full range Fostex BIB speakers I built. Excellent for string and vintage music.

my strawberry blonde partscaster - my main guitar - Squier 20th anniv body, '01 esquire bridge pup, '95 MIM neck pup, fender usa tuners, warmouth no-logo boat neck, and gaudy-as-all-get-out red moto pickguard. cobbled together over a year and a half when I could find the parts at a price I could afford.

soon to get a pair of Bill Lawrence Keystones I just acquired from the classifieds here
