Last october i was looking for one, called both guitar center and Sam Ash, neither had one in stock or on order- and one (forgot which) of them had ONE in stock in the country (in FL).
Seemed to have been pretty rare in stores, even when they were being made. |

i have the white one... dont see em on the fender site, anymore. i think it was a limited run.
nice guitar, and the double cutaway is unique and functional. the partial hollowbody also has a noticeable effect on its tone, imho. im gonna hang on to it for the next 10-15 years. i think they'll increase in value. imho. rand z |

Rand...I would keep it. All the obscure discontunued Fender models end-up being sought-after collectibles. Besides, the TC-90 is pretty guitar that probably sounds as good as it looks.

I think Fender has a tendency to throw a bunch of new models against the wall, to see what catches-on. Maybe 3-4 new models every year or two.
Let's see, we had the StratoSonic, Toronado, TC-90, Import Showmasters, The Squier '51 and probably a few others. They seems to come and go. And some, like the '51 gain a cult following. I kind of wish they'd stick it out with some of these. Sometimes (as with the Tele, which really caught-on in the 60s & 70s and never looked back) it takes a while for the market to embrace a guitar model.

I think it failed because it was:
1) Double cut away; 2) More Korea than Fender. JMO. I never really gave it a shake, too many specifications were wrong for me.
