bridge not cover completely pickup body hole!
How is it possible?...buyed a 3 saddles bridge genuine fender for my USA Highway body...screws perfectly match...but you can see a part of bridge pickup hole, not completely covered. It's the side near control plate.
Where is the problem? Thanks. |

Bridge mis-alignment sometimes occures even on more expensive Fender Telecasters.
Screw in only right side screw. Rotate bridge plate until you have equal amount or cavity showing on each side. Plug side hole with dowel and re-drill screw hole. Install left side screw and tighten it snug. Check alighment of bridge plate. Repeat if necessary. When bridge plate is properly aligned with the two outer screws snug, install the two center screws.

The bridge plate not covering the routing for the pickup is very common on many Tele's. It stems from having a vintage spec bridge matched to bodies that nowadays have a wider manufacturing tolerance in the routings. It was always a close call, and even on vintage Tele's it is possible to see the edge of the route in the body on some, but not so often as today. So like many other people have to, I would say just live with it.
