Slanting humbucker question
I have a Thinline special with a Gibson 57 in the neck. It seems to slope downwards slightly towards the neck. Is this normal or do I need a mounting ring or something?

If you're not the original owner, then it might be a mod.
I've done it before, in the neck position, to slightly modify the treble. Not to the extreme of a Mosrite guitar, but a slight tilt upwards. A downward tilt would have the opposite effect. Steve |

I took it to mean not slanted as in a tele bridge pickup, but slanted as the bridge side is higher than the neck side when viewed from the side. Am i right? I'd say put some bigger springs under there and it might fix it up.

-Try taking the p'up out and turning the springs around a little bit. Just give them a twist while still the screws are still holding them there. Are you screwing it directly into the wood or using holes in the pickguard?
