Gotoh Style Tuners

Anyone tried these tuners? If so, how are they?

http://store.guitarfetish.com/chsusmgost14.html

They appear to be Gotoh knock-off mini's with a 50's style "Kluson-type" button knob.

They aren't Gotoh. I bought some, and although they look and fit like Gotohs, their overall quality and feel was not as good. Not bad, but I would not use them again. Nothing like the real thing, which rival and/or surpass Schaller. JMO

The key clue on those knock-off tuners is the 14:1 ratio - real Gotoh SG38 tuners are 16:1. Those knock-offs appear to be JinHo's - yuk, too much gear lash. No thanx.

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't go for them. I ended up getting some Gotoh Kluson style. And although I'm gonna have to do some retrofitting, I'll be much happier in the end. Thanks!

Avatar?

Sorry dudes, I guess I don't even know what an "avatar" is. :? Can ya clue me in? I want to be exited about it too!

By the way, weather-wise, we got a little wind - nothing damaging and not even a drop of rain. But, we were still able to make our date in Brownsville !

Avatar - mine would be a celebrity rooster holdin' my red Tele.

Yours would be the shot of your '69 Thinline. It's cool, amigo!

Glad you avoided damage and made your gig...
