4 way Switch -- Please help
I am in the middle of a telecaster rebuild and have wired my plate in reverse and have tried to do the Fez Parka mod as well. (see picture)
Anyway - the pickups work correctly in all positions, but the series position (position 1 - all the way back because its reversed) doesn't seem any louder or different than the normal fender parallel (position 3). In fact, the parallel actually may be a little louder than the series. Did I do something wrong? Please help. thanks David |

Koko:
I want the positions to be as listed on the picture. All the way back series, then bridge second from back then parallel second from front then front neck pickup. As I have drawn and labelled them in the picture - do i have them wrong? |

Still looking for detailed help
i realize that this involves walking through all the connections, but I can't find where I went wrong.
Just to be clear, i have reversed the control plate so the bottom of the picture is toward the bridge. and I am calling position one the one with the switch lever all the way back toward the bridge. i want the positions to be series, bridge, parallel, neck. do i have it wired right? |

Tuxedo - In your picture, it seems to me like the second position ( the one second from the back of the guitar) doesn't control anything. No circuits connected and it is supposed to be bridge only. Is this right?

So turn the switch around, and swap the neck hot with the bridge hot.
You also may - or may not, it depends - need to lift the ground of the bridge pup, in the same way you've probably/hopefully already done with the neck pup. |

If I turn it around and switch the hots wouldn't that put the series last: Neck Parallel Bridge Series My original still seems right to me (see above) in concept -- I just can't figure out why its not working. To my ears it sounds like: 1.Parallel 2.Bridge 3.Series (loudest, most full) 4.Neck |
