My 3 way switch is different..
..than the ones in the diagrams I have printed out. Instead of wheel shaped, it is box shaped and has a row of small tabs across the bottom to solder to.
It has SEON JIN on one side and NP on the other. I was intending to install 2 blade type HBs and a push-pull for volume, but now am a bit taken back. I could live without the push-pull, if need be, but wish to continue. All of the wires soldered to the switch are white. And some tabs have a tiny jumper between them. If I could just get the HB in the neck position tonight, I'd high-5 myself. But doing both would be unreal. Any diagrams for this type of 3-way? Thanks... |

It can be done, the picture below is for a 5 Way to import but it should be the same concept. The middle 2 will be common.
However if you are going through the trouble of replacing the pickup it maybe worth getting rid of the cheap import switch for a Fender switch. They are a whopping $10 at GC.

Yeah, Lunchie,
I ran over to the GC tonight, not quite in time, they close at 7:00, dammit. But the tech guy told me they have 'em in stock, on his way out. I'll wait til tomorrow...That way it will look like the plans I printed. Much easier. Funny that you said 'it can be done'. I was looking at some old spaghetti western titles today and "It Can Be Done, Amigo" stood out for me. Weird. Thanks, man. Merry Chistmas. |
